Skirting boards

Skirting boards are inconspicuous and very important parts of the interior finish. The baseboards matched to the interior are a decorative detail and practical finishing of the floor and walls. Through the use of skirting boards, floor care becomes much easier and the walls do not get dirty.

There are many configurations and types of skirting boards that meet today’s trends. In the classic version, baseboards may be a continuation of a wooden floor, made from the same species and with the same color of wood. In order to achieve a modern 'extension' of the wall, a perfect option is to use flush-to-the-wall skiritng boards or baseboards made of MDF material, painted in the same color as the wall. A fashionable way to an interesting arrangement is to install skirting boards same as the door frame pattern, mostly in white color – this is often used to get an elegant contrast to dark walls and floors. A slightly more extravagant option is to match the color of the skirting boards to other elements of the interior, such as furniture or paintings.
